Hi, I offer one-to-one tutorials for Electric and Acoustic Guitar, covering styles such as Blues, Rock, Folk and Pop. I am a member of the Registry of Guitar Tutors and have an Enhanced Disclosure Certificate issued by the Criminal Records Bureau. I am a Grade 8 musician and have been teaching since 2006. I cover Deal, Dover, Sandwich and surrounding areas.

I follow two syllabuses within my lesson planning, RGT and Rockschool, which I mix with music that the pupil listens to and wants to learn. Both RGT and Rockschool offer Grades from Debut to 8 and are accredited by the Qualifications & Curriculum Authority (QCA). UCAS points for universities are also awarded for exam grades 6 to 8.

I teach from beginner to intermediate and tailor each lesson to suit the pupils' particular requirements, whether that is passing graded examinations or simply improving techniques or general playing.

There is no age limit to start learning guitar and certainly no upper age limit to improving on what you may already know, even if there has been a break for a decade or so!

All pupils have a free initial assessment that usually lasts for about half an hour. This is just to see what the pupil's playing ability is like and what type of music he or she likes and would like to learn. Advice on what type of guitar to purchase can be offered if required.

One of the unique elements I offer is that I come to you. I have found that by teaching pupils in their own environment helps put them at ease and is also more convenient for most people with busy schedules.
